Current Status
The Buzzard Complex is currently managed by Oregon Interagency Incident Management Team 4 (Brian J. Watts).
The fires are located 45 NE of Burns, OR.

Fire burns along Highway 78 on the boarder of Harney and Malheur counties.


Closures

Highway 78 is open.  Active fire and large equipment remain in the area.  Roads may be closed intermittently due to smoke.  Please drive with caution and with lights on.  A Temporary Flight Restriction exists over the complex.  Residents in the Crowley Riverside Road are under a Level 1 [Get Ready] evacuation notice.
Plans for Today
Strengthen containment of north, west and south flanks from established anchor points to east.

Fire Weather
Extreme low relative humidity of less than 10% will combine with wind gusts of 25-30 mph to produce ideal weather conditions for rapid fire growth.

Other Fire Information

Fire conditions remain similar to yesterday.  Good progress made yesterday on establishing anchor points utilizing direct and indirect tactics and protecting community infrastructure.
